Tim Gilbert enters his 12th year as the athletic trainer at Catawba Valley Community College in 2023-24.
Gilbert works with all of the sports teams at CVCC, including baseball, men’s and women’s basketball and softball.
A 2004 graduate of UNC Charlotte with a bachelor of science in Athletic Training, Gilbert previously worked as an athletic trainer at Cherryville and Bessemer City high schools in Gaston County from 2005-12.
He is currently a preceptor for the Lenoir-Rhyne University graduate athletic training program — a role he’s held since 2013 — and he has been a certified American Red Cross CPR instructor for the past four years.
Gilbert was officially certified by the Board of Certification in 2004, and he holds a North Carolina state license to practice athletic training. He is also an Impact trained athletic trainer (ITAT).
Outside of his profession, Gilbert enjoys the outdoors and loves to hike, camp, fish and spend time with his family.
Gilbert resides in Hickory, N.C. with his wife Bethany and his children Ethan and Hannah.
