Brandon Ford gives Red Hawks late push to beat Louisburg College, 5-2

Brandon Ford drove in the go-ahead run to give the Red Hawks the lead in the sixth inning, as CVCC hung on to beat Louisburg College 5-2 on Sunday.

Thomas Waddell singled to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to second on a stolen base.

Waddell had a hot bat for the Red Hawks. Waddell went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the sixth, seventh, and ninth innings.

Kyle Ramsey racked up five strikeouts in the win. Ramsey allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk over five innings.

Louisburg broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning, pushing across fourth. Louisburg scored on a sacrifice fly by Chris Gilliam.
