The Red Hawks baseball team outlasted the Lancers from Lenoir CC on Saturday after trailing 4-3 in the third inning.

The Red Hawks pulled out the win thanks to a strong fourth inning. The Red Hawks went up for good on an RBI single by Danny Sullivan, plating Randal Ortiz.

Sullivan reached base four times in the game for The Red Hawks. He also drove in one runner.

Aaron Biggerstaff pitched lights out for CThe Red Hawks. Lenoir managed just one hit off of Biggerstaff, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

The Red Hawks jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the second. The Red Hawks rally started when Brandon Ford singled. A single by Skyler Strickland then moved Ford from first to third. Mykel Davis singled, bringing home Ford. The scoreboard lit up again for The Red Hawks when Strickland scored on an RBI single by Ortiz and Davis scored on a steal of home.

The Red Hawks went up for good in the fourth scoring three total runs, which came home on an RBI double by Lou Matarazzo and an RBI single by Trever Lee.

The Red Hawks beat Lenoir 5-0 in seven innings in Game 2 on Saturday behind Danny Sullivan, who had two extra base hits.

He tripled in the second inning, singled in the third inning, and doubled in the fifth inning.

The Red Hawks Bryce Hensley kept Lenoir off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on five hits while striking out five.

The game's last lead went to The Red Hawks thanks to a second inning rally that saw one run cross the plate on a sacrifice fly by Lou Matarazzo.

The Red Hawks pushed across one run in both the third inning and the fifth. In the third, The Red Hawks scored on an RBI single by Sullivan, bringing home Sam Salyers.

The Red Hawks tacked on another two runs in the fourth. A error scored Skyler Strickland for the inning's first run. That was followed up by Clay Hodges's single, scoring Mykel Davis.

Skyler Strickland went 3-3 at the plate, sparking the Red Hawks to a 6-2 victory over Lenoir on Sunday to complete the sweep.

Strickland singled in the second, third, and seventh innings.

Lenoir couldn't get anything going as long as Phillip Black was pitching. Lenoir managed just two hits off of Black, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his five innings of work.

The game's last lead went to the Red Hawks thanks to a second inning rally that saw four runs cross the plate on an RBI double by Clay Hodges and two singles.

The Red Hawks pushed across one run in both the fifth inning and the ninth. In the fifth, the Red Hawks scored on an RBI single by Randal Ortiz, bringing home Danny Sullivan.
