Great pitching leads the Red Hawks past Tusculum JV 5-0

A magnificent effort by Brandyn Norton led the Red Hawks to a 5-0 win over Tusculum JV on Monday.

Tusculum JV wasn't able to score a run off of Norton during his seven innings on the bump. Norton struck out eight and allowed one walk and four hits.

The Red Hawks beat Tusculum JV thanks to six hits. the Red Hawks scored two runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Thomas Waddell and a wild pitch.

Mykel Davis went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the Red Hawks. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the seventh inning.

The Red Hawks stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring two runs on an RBI double by Davis and a sacrifice fly by Clay Hodges.

The Red Hawks pushed across one run in both the fourth inning and the eighth. In the fourth, the Red Hawks scored on a solo home run by Alex Minton.
