Red Hawks falls to USC Lancaster 13-4

Despite a big day at the dish from Ty Andrus, who finished 2-3, the Red Hawks lost 13-4 to USC Lancaster on Wednesday.

USC Lancaster easily handled the Red Hawks pitching as six hitters combined for 11 hits, eight RBIs and 10 runs scored.

USC Lancaster stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring six runs on three singles.

The Red Hawks matched its one-run first inning with one more in the fourth. In the first, the Red Hawks scored on a sacrifice fly by Andrew Meadows, bringing home Brandon Ford.

Two runs in the bottom of the second helped the Red Hawks close its deficit to 6-3. An RBI single by Seth Hubbard and a sacrifice fly by Andrus sparked the Red Hawks rally.

USC Lancaster tacked on another four runs in the fifth.
