Early lead not enough for the Red Hawks, drop 3-1 decision to Patrick Henry

The Red Hawks jumped out to an early lead, but was unable to hold on and lost 3-1 to Patrick Henry on Sunday.

While the Red Hawks  led until the sixth inning, Patrick Henry worked its way back and took the lead on a two-run single.

Patrick Henry couldn't get anything going as long as Taylor Purus was pitching. Patrick Henry managed just three hits off of Purus, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out three during his five innings of work.

The first inning saw the Red Hawks score its only run on the day on an RBI single by Danny Sullivan.

Patrick Henry stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the sixth, scoring three runs on a two-run single.
