Bryce Hensley throws no-hitter as the Red Hawks defeats New River 10-0

Bryce Hensley was untouchable on Sunday, throwing a no-hitter in the Red Hawks 10-0 victory over New River.

No New River batter was able to locate Hensley's pitches during the game. Hensley threw a no-hitter, striking out 14 batters and walking one while recording his momentous feat. He got Hurley to strike out for the final out of the game.

Seven runs in the opening three innings allowed the Red Hawks to easily put away New River. A steal of home by Trever Lee, a steal of home by Ivan Acuna, and a two-run home run by Brandon Ford during the first inning and an RBI single by Lee in the second inning supplied the early offense.

Clay Hodges had two extra-base hits for the Red Hawks. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the second and sixth innings.

Lee, Acuna, Ford and Hodges helped lead the Red Hawks. They combined for nine hits and seven RBIs.

The Red Hawks piled on two more runs in the top of the third. Lou Matarazzo kicked things off with a triple, scoring Acuna.

The Red Hawks increased its lead with three runs in the sixth. Hodges' double got things going, plating Skyler Strickland. That was followed up by Lee's double, plating Randal Ortiz and Hodges.
