Red Hawks outslug Brunswick, 11-3

The Red Hawks beat Brunswick on Saturday 11-3 in eight innings.

The Red Hawks scored four runs in the third on an RBI double by Danny Sullivan, an RBI double by Brandon Ford, a groundout by Skyler Strickland, and an error.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with six lead changes.

Randal Ortiz boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Red Hawks. He singled in the first and sixth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

The Red Hawks Varsity scored two runs of its own in the first off an error and an RBI single by Ortiz.

The Red Hawks brought home two runs in the fifth inning, and matched that run total in the sixth. In the fifth, the Red Hawks scored on a groundout by Seth Hubbard, bringing home Ortiz.

The Red Hawks tacked on another two runs in the sixth. Ortiz singled, plating Ivan Acuna to start the inning.
