Early lead gives Red Hawks victory over New River, 13-3

The Red Hawks jumped out to an early lead on New River and captured a 13-3 victory on Saturday.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Red Hawks to put the game away early.

A groundout by Andrew Meadows during the first inning and an RBI double by Ty Andrus and an error in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Red Hawks.

Sam Salyers racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Red Hawks. He singled in the second and third innings and homered in the seventh inning.

Will Greene handled New River's lineup with ease, racking up 13 strikeouts. Greene allowed one earned run, seven hits and no walks over seven innings.
