The Red Hawks top Southeastern behind Alex Minton's 2 homeruns, 13-5

An awesome effort by Alex Minton hoisted the Red Hawks Varsity to a 13-5 win in eight innings over Southeastern on Sunday.

Alex Minton blasted two home runs  with four RBIs and two runs scored. Alex Minton homered in the second and sixth innings.

The Red Hawks beat Southeastern thanks to 22 hits, including six extra base hits. The Red Hawks scored five runs in the second on  a two-run home run by Alex Minton, a two-run double by Trever Lee, and an RBI single by Ivan Acuna.

The Red Hawks easily handled Southeastern pitching as six hitters combined for 16 hits, 10 RBIs and nine runs scored.

Three runs in the top of the third helped Southeastern close its deficit to 5-3. But it didn't take long for the Red Hawks to answer as it scored four runs of its own in the fourth. The Red Hawks scored on an RBI double by Lee, an RBI single by Acuna, an RBI double by Danny Sullivan, and an RBI single by Randal Ortiz.

The Red Hawks pushed across one run in both the fifth inning and the eighth. In the fifth, the Red Hawks scored on an RBI single by Sullivan, scoring Mykel Davis.
