Red Hawks survive Southeastern 6-3 thanks to Ford's late-game heroics

Brandon Ford drove in the go-ahead run to give the Red Hawks the lead in the sixth inning, as the Red Hawks hung on to beat Southeastern 6-3 on Saturday.

Ivan Acuna walked to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to second on an RBI single by Danny Sullivan.

Sullivan had a hot bat going 2-2, driving in one and scoreing two runs. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Taylor Purus pitched lights out for the Red Hawks. Purus held Southeastern hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

In the top of the first, Southeastern grabbed the early lead, 2-0. A two-run home run.

The Red Hawks scored one run in the first inning, and then followed it up with one more in the fourth. In the first, the Red Hawks Varsity scored on a sacrifice fly by Sullivan, bringing home Clay Hodges.

The lead was the Red Hawks to lose after sixth inning. More runs came home on an error and an RBI single by Sullivan.
