Danny Sullivan leads Red Hawks 12-3 win over Wake Tech

Danny Sullivan clubbed two home runs to carry the Red Hawks to a 12-3 win over Wake Tech in eight innings.

The Red Hawks beat Wake Tech thanks to 17 hits, including six extra base hits.

The Red Hawks hit four home runs in the win. Home runs came when Ivan Acuna homered in the third inning, Trever Lee homered in the eighth inning, and Sullivan homered in the first and eighth innings.

Wake Tech jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. But the  Red Hawks Varsity scored two runs of its own in the first with a two-run home run by Sullivan.

The Red Hawks Varsity stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring two runs on a two-run double by Clay Hodges.

After posting one run in the third, the Red Hawks again scored one in the seventh. In the third, the Red Hawks scored on a solo home run by Acuna.

The Red Hawks added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. A error scored Lee to start the scoring in the inning.

The Red Hawks Varsity built upon its lead with four runs in the eighth. The inning looked promising, as Lee homered, plating Hodges to kick things off. That was followed up by Sullivan's two-run home run, bringing home Acuna.
