Head Coach Bryan Garmroth inks 250 Junior College Win

With tonight's win against Guilford Tech head coach, Bryan Garmroth, recorded his 250th career Junior College win.  This season is Coach Garmroth's 6th season with the Red Hawks, 13th season in Junior College basketball and 25th season in college coaching.  Garmroth entered the season 11 wins shy of the 250 mark, with tonight's win he now holds a 250-134 record for a career 65.1 win percentage for his 13 seasons as a Junior College basketball head coach.

Coach Garmroth helped lead the Red Hawks to their best season ever in 2015/16 posting a program best 23-9 record and finishing runner-up in the district tournament, one game shy of reaching the National Tournament.   Garmroth was voted by his peers as the Region X Coach of the Year, the third time he has received this award in his career and first with the Red Hawks.  This was only the second time the Red Hawks basketball team had recorded 20+ wins, with the first being in 2012/13 also under Coach Garmroth.

This season the Red Hawks sit at 11-5 overall and 5-2 in the conference which puts them at 4th in an 11 team conference. In the last eight games the Red Hawks are 7-1 and are undefeated (3-0) in 2017.  The Red Hawks will be on the road for the next 3 games returning to home on Wednesday, January 25th to take on Vance Granville Community College.  This weekend the Red Hawks will play at Lenoir Community College on Saturday and at Pitt Community College on Sunday.
