HUDSON, N.C. — Behind a career-high 27 points from guard Tyrell Oglesby, the Catawba Valley Community College men's basketball team scored a 98-93 win against Combine Academy during the final day of the Chick-Fil-A Caldwell Classic on Saturday at Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute.



CVCC trailed 54-45 at halftime of the contest, but Oglesby powered the Red Hawks (3-3) back on top for good in the game, scoring 21 points in the second half.



Oglesby made seven 3-pointers in the contest, including five of those in the second half.



Five Red Hawk players reached double digits in scoring in Saturday's game, including Oglesby, Hughston Finklea (15 points), Dorieon Suggs (12), Isayah Johnson (11) and Caleb Bryson (10).



Klay Brown paced Combine Academy with 22 points and Josh Elmore added 18 points.



The CVCC men's basketball team returns to action on Tuesday with a home game against rival Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
