HICKORY, N.C. — The Catawba Valley Community College men's basketball program has announced the signings of Quade Parks, Byron Sanders and Dezure Moulden.

Parks, who comes to the Red Hawks from Greenville High School in Greenville, S.C., led the Red Raiders to a 21-3 record and 7-1 mark in conference games this past winner on his way to earning Class 4A Region 1 Player of the Year honors.

"Quade is very strong 6-foot-3 wing player," said CVCC head men's basketball coach Bryan Garmroth. "He is a very skilled player who competes and plays very hard."

Sanders is an Ashbrook High School product from Gastonia, N.C.

He averaged 14.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.7 steals per game for the Green Wave this past season, leading them to a 16-11 overall record and 9-5 mark in Big South 3A conference play.

"Byron is a 6-foot-1 point guard who gives us good size and strength at the point position," Garmroth said. "He is a natural leader with very good skills. He sees the floor very well and gets the ball to the right people at the right times."

Moulden is a combo guard from Stuart Kramer High School in Belmont, N.C. He averaged a team-high 22.4 points per game for the Storm this past winter, leading the team to 11 wins (seven in conference play).

"Dezure is a guard who has the ability to play point guard or the two guard," Garmroth said. "He has very good quickness and ball-handling skills and the ability to score from behind the 3-point line or off the drive. We are very excited to have Dezure."

Parks, Sanders and Moulden join a 2018-19 Red Hawk recruiting class that already includes Hunter Huss' Jahleer Black, Franklin's Zach De La Cruz, Harding's George Paul, Knightdale's Cole Johnson and Combine Academy's Jeremiah Keith. Keenan Rankin also returns to the Red Hawks after a two-year hiatus.
