Henderson enters her first season as an assistant coach for the Catawba Valley Community College volleyball team — returning to the program she spent two seasons playing for.

After playing high school volleyball at Christian Family Academy in Conover, Henderson signed with CVCC. During her first season with the Red Hawks, she finished seventh in the nation in hitting percentage (0.397), 18th in total blocks (145) and 47th in blocks per set (1.1).

As a sophomore at CVCC in 2014, Henderson finished her final season with the Red Hawks by recording 166 blocks, which ranked ninth in the nation. The 166 blocks are also the second-most in a single season in program history.

Henderson ended her two-year Red Hawk career with the most total blocks (311), and she also ranks fourth in total career kills at CVCC with 630.

A standout in the classroom, Henderson graduated from Catawba Valley Community College with a 3.7 grade point average.

Henderson finished her collegiate volleyball career at UNC-Charlotte, signing her National Letter of Intent with the 49ers on Nov. 18, 2014. She recorded 215 kills, 241 blocks (62 solo, 179 assisted) and 366.5 points with the Niners from 2015-16.

The daughter of Darrell and Donna Henderson and sister of Anthony and Nathaniel, Henderson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in English and Journalism at UNC-Charlotte.
