HICKORY, N.C. — The Catawba Valley Community College baseball team continued its hot play of late this past weekend, sweeping Wake Tech in a three-game home conference series at Henkel-Alley Field.

The Red Hawks (26-12, 15-4 in Region 10) won 11-3 against the Eagles on Friday before sweeping Saturday's doubleheader by scores of 16-5 and 13-3.

During the month of March, the CVCC baseball team went 17-3 with two of those three losses being by one score each.

On the heels of a five-game winning stream, the Red Hawks return to the baseball field on Wednesday for a home conference game against Cleveland Community College. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Henkel-Alley Field.
