Red Hawks win eighth straight, sweep Lancers

LANCASTER, S.C. — The Catawba Valley Community College volleyball team won its eighth-straight match on Monday night, sweeping host USC Lancaster in straight sets.

Set scores were 25-17, 25-22 and 25-18.

Siena Naotala led the charge for the Red Hawks (12-6, 6-0 in Region X) with six kills and three blocks, while Sage Harrington added four kills and two blocks.

Defensively, sophomore libero Emily Williams made nine digs for CVCC, and setter Emilee Webber made a team-high 16 assists and four service aces.

The Red Hawks return to action on Tuesday with a home conference match against Guilford Tech at 6 p.m.
