On April 13th Catawba Valley Community College volleyball split sets with Western Carolina University in the last scrimmage tournament of the 2019 spring season.
The Red Hawks were unofficially welcomed to the Catamounts campus by CVCC alumni and WCU '76 graduate Ted Yoder. Mr. Yoder encouraged the young Hawks to strive to be the best they could be.
Leading the kettle was Emma Clark with 9 kills in the 2 set scrimmage, Zoe Phillips chipped in 5 kills with no errors on 8 attacks!
Serving a perfect game for the Hawks was incoming freshman Chloe Falowski with 1 ace and no errors on 10 attempts with a team high server rating of 2.0
Macy Pope led in the setting category with 12 assists.
Libero Bre Myers kept the ball alive on the defensive side with 13 digs and Siena Naotala and Sage Harrington both had 2 block assist each at the net.
